Service blueprinting is often seen as useful only for large organizations with well defined business models and product or service offerings. However, there are benefits to be realized for every size organization.

The framework below provides a model for understanding the benefits of service blueprinting across the organization lifecycle including those benefits that are specific to each stage of growth. This framework can help guide the blueprinting project by making objectives clear. This frameworks seeks to provide a high-level rubric only, it is not an exhaustive list. Also, some small organizations may target benefits this model says are for larger organizations. There is nothing wrong with that.
